Frequently
Asked Questions
Thanks for visiting Seriously Purple Prose, the
new Official David Freeman & The Lover
Speaks web site. Before contacting us, please
read the F.A.Q. file below:
- Question:
Where can I purchase The Lover Speaks
first album on CD?
- Answer:
This album is long out of print and tricky to find.
Try eBay
first, although be forewarned, this CD usually goes for
anywhere between $25.00 - $50.00. If you cannot
find the CD there, you can try several different mail
order sources, however it has become increasingly hard
to find. Places to try are: GEMM,
Musicstack
or Vinyl
Vendors. Good luck. It's not an easy one
to come by.
- Question:
How do I write to David Freeman?
- Answer:
David Freeman is currently no longer
actively himself. He has taken a new moniker & identity
(game show host, circus dog trainer, MTV vee-jay...take
your pick). However, he is aware of this website. We have
not seen or heard from him in quite a few years. Please
don't ask for further information or where to find his
music. We don't know.
- Question:
Why did you name this website Seriously Purple
Prose?
- Answer:
Seriously Purple Prose is the name
that David Freeman wanted to name the
first Lover Speaks album, but the record
company did not like it, so he regrettably gave in and
discarded the original name.
- Question:
How can this be the "Official" David Freeman
& The Lover Speaks web site? Your not David
Freeman!
- Answer:
David Freeman has been in contact
with us and has given his blessing on this web site. If
you have any problems with that, you will have to contact
him yourself or sod off or both.
- Question:
Who
is the female vocalist on The Lover Speaks? Is it Elizabeth
Fraser of The Cocteau Twins?
- Answer:
The female vocals on The Lover Speaks are
not those of Elizbeth Fraser and The Lover Speaks
are in no way connected with The Cocteau Twins.
The vocals were done by an ex-girlfirned of Joseph
Hughes by the name of June Miles Kingstone.
Also, some of the female vocals were done in part by David
Freeman himself.
- Question:
How can I write to you bastards then?
- Answer:
Sorry, this site is no longer active and we do not
accept any emails.
